Fact #2: There’s only one IPL team whose captain has remained unchanged throughout

The Purple Cap award in IPL is presented to the one who scores the highest number of wickets in a tournament. And Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who currently plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad, is the only cricketer to have won this prestigious award twice in IPL history.
Fact #4: Lalit Modi had originally intended IPL to be a one-day tournament
Lalit Modi, the one who initiated IPL, had actually envisioned IPL to be a one-day tournament with 50 overs, way back in 1995. But at that time, his idea was not taken seriously. Many years later, the launch of the Indian Cricket League by Zee in 2007 inspired the inception of IPL, and the rest is history!
Fact #5: Piyush Chawla holds the record for no no-balls in the highest number of overs in IPL
This amazingly talented leg spinner holds the record for spinning no no balls for as many as 386 overs, a feat that has not been surpassed in IPL to date. He accomplished this feat when playing for Kolkata Knight Riders and against Delhi Daredevils. In the span of his career, he has played for Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians.
